A lot of my inspiration is derived from the meditation and calmness of creations like sand mandalas and henna tattoos; adornment, patience, meditation, these ephemeral qualities that are more a journey of the mind than of art.
I also think it's important to remain child-like throughout your life, and that silliness, that imagination, is something I try to keep alive in my work.
There is a lot of diversity in my work, and that is why I consider myself a more 'maker' than an artist. I try to keep myself challenged and that often involves going outside the boxes set up by "Fine Art "or "Arts and Crafts."
Whether face painting, sculpting or working on a portrait, what matters most to me is the happiness I, and hopefully others will derive from my passion, creativity and skill.
